Cristobal Marquez has contributed to the Salt Lake City Arts community as an Artistic Ballet Director since September 2006. As founder of BCSLC
(Ballet Conservatory of Salt Lake City), Marquez moved to Trolley Square
in order to accommodate his growing school. Recently renovated, the studio offers a central location for students who wish to study ballet. For the last four years, Marquez has offered an intensive summer ballet program -- producing several professional dancers. Additionally, Marquez has served as private coach for students training for ballet competitions including American Ballet Competition and Youth America Grand Prix. Marquez has garnered attention within the Utah Arts Community through his contribution and innovative choreography with performances such as Alice in Wonderland, At Capacity, May concert (Trolley Square) and Thumbelina.

Students studying under Cristobal Marquez have received dance contracts with Ballet Santiago, Orlando Ballet,Cincinnati Ballet, Lines Ballet, University of Utah, Utah Valley University.
